Hilton Scranton Poinsettia Classic Returns to Scranton in December

University of Scranton Women’s Basketball Head Coach Deanna Klingman welcomed the support of Hilton Scranton and Conference Center’s General Manager John Argonish and Director of Sales Ryan Alpert to reestablish the Hilton Scranton Poinsettia Classic women’s basketball tournament this December.

“The Hilton Scranton has been instrumental in bringing back this historic holiday tournament, which will be played for the first time since 1995,” said Coach Klingman, who was the Division III Player of the Year in 1985 while at Scranton and also the Poinsettia Classic MVP in 1984.

The tournament will begin Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. with Cabrini College playing Richard Stockton College in the John Long Center, followed by the Lady Royals versus Eastern University at 5 p.m. The tournament continues with games at 3 and 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18.
