    Governor's Awards for the Arts - Schemel F...

    The Scranton Cultural Center will host a forum to discuss art and the public good on Aug. 8, prior to the 2018 Governor's Awards for the Arts. In the evening there will be an awards ceremony to honor three artists and two organizations who impacted Pennsylvania.

    The forum titled "The Arts and the Public Good" presented by The University of Scranton's Schemel Forum will take place on the second floor of the Scranton Cultural Center beginning at 3 p.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. Sondra Myers, director of the Schemel Forum, will moderate the forum.

    The panelists include Henry Amoroso, Financial Consultant to the City of Scranton, Erika Funke, Senior Producer and Classical Music Host of WVIA-FM, Mary Sue Sweeney Price, former Director of the Newark Art Museum, and Nancy Sanderson, Executive Director of the Northeastern PA Philharmonic Orchestra.
