Local Resident Appointed Executive Director of Pride, Passion, Promise Campaign
Thomas MacKinnon, a resident of Scranton, has been appointed as the executive director of The University of Scranton’s Pride, Passion, Promise Campaign.
Before joining the university’s staff, MacKinnon served for two years as a senior campaign consultant through Community Counselling Service (CCS), a consulting firm headquartered in New York City specializing in capital campaign management. He directed multi-million dollar fund-raising programs with several non-profit organizations in New York City, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Md., and New England. MacKinnon also served as director of alumni and publication relations for his alma mater, Canisius High School, in Buffalo, N.Y.
MacKinnon has volunteered as an administrator, teacher and project coordinator of the Working Boys’ Center, a Jesuit family development facility in Quito, Ecuador.
MacKinnon earned a bachelor of arts degree from Fordham University.
In his new position, he will manage the campaign office and the strategic and day-to-day operations of The University of Scranton’s $100,000,000 capital campaign.
