Science Center Committee

The University of Scranton has planned for its new unified science center for a decade. The center was announced on May 14 at a groundbreaking ceremony. Formed in 1999, the Science Education Committee includes faculty from Scranton's science technology, engineering and mathematics fields. The group was charged with identifying ways to enhance classroom and laboratory teaching and instruction in the major science programs and general education science courses. As planning matured, chairpersons from the science, technology, engineering and mathematics departments joined the committee, which was renamed The Science Facility Development Committee.
