Scranton Takes Largest School Team Award at Race for the Cure

More than 180 University of Scranton students, faculty, staff, family and friends participated the 17th Annual NEPA Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on September 12. Scranton was awarded a plaque as the "Largest School Team." Committee members Betsy Moylan, library, Lynn Gavin, accounts payable, and Eileen Notarianni, human resources, accepted the award on behalf of the University. Some of the participants gathered prior to the race on Dionne Campus Green for a group photo. Scranton's Lacrosse team, Women's Rowing, the Nursing Department, ROTC, Italian Club and Hannan and Nevils residence halls were among the clubs and departments that participated. The University of Scranton's cheerleading squad also participated as "Cure Leaders."
