Faculty Awarded Summer Research Grants
Five members of The University of Scranton’s faculty have been selected by the Faculty Development Board to receive research grants for the summer 2010.
Declan Mulhall, Ph.D., assistant professor of physics and electrical engineering, will study “A Statistical Test for Missing Levels in Quantum Spectra Based on the Δ3 Statistics.”
Marc B. Shapiro, Ph.D., professor of theology religious studies, will study “Changing the Immutable: How Orthodox Judaism Rewrites its History.”
Terrence E. Sweeney, Ph.D., professor of biology, will study the “Development and Pedagogical Use of a Mechanical Model of the Cardiovascular System.”
Argyrios C. Varonides, Ph.D., professor of physics and electrical engineering, will study “Quantum Photovoltaics: The Case of High Efficiency Solar Cells a Theoretical Study.”
Habib K. Zanzana, Ph.D., associate professor of world languages and cultures, will study “Domestic Violence in Contemporary Cinema in Spain and Latin America: A Portfolio Analytic Model of Social Responsibility.”
