Oct 20, 2010

The Princeton Review has named The University of Scranton’s Kania School of Management among the best business graduate schools in the country for the sixth consecutive year. The 11th edition of Princeton Review’s “Best 300 Business Schools”published on Oct. 12, 2010.

The two-page profile about Scranton contained in the guidebook noted that “Jesuit values add a unique flavor” to the University’s business programs, which “emphasize a contemporary approach to business while simultaneously exploring topics in ethics and social responsibility.”

The Princeton Review’s profile also recognized the “integration of technology and business” and “a strong focus on globalization throughout the curriculum.”

The “Best 300 Business Schools” includes information about academics, student life and environment, admissions and career placement programs for each school profiled. Much of the information is based on The Princeton Review survey of 19,000 MBA students at the colleges listed in the book.

“We chose the 300 business schools in this book based on our high opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the schools,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s senior vice president-publishing. “We also strongly consider the candid opinions of students attending the schools who rate and report on their campus experiences at their schools on our survey for the book."

In addition, based on The Princeton Review survey data, The University of Scranton’s business school was listed among the top 15 in the nation for general management in Entrepreneur magazine, published in April 2010. This is the second consecutive year that The University of Scranton made this list.

The University of Scranton has also been listed in The Princeton Review’s undergraduate guidebook, “The Best 373 Colleges,” for nine consecutive years.

Scranton’s MBA program is accredited by AACSB-International, the most recognized and respected business school accrediting body.
