Royal Men’s Basketball Team Makes Donation to Local Head Start Program

Dec 20, 2010

Coach Carl Danzig’s University of Scranton men’s basketball team has been in a giving mood lately. In addition to exciting their fans base with a current 4-game winning streak, the Royals took it up a notch recently with a visit to the North Scranton Head Start, where team members distributed more than $400 in toys.

“Our players have always enjoyed giving something back to the community,” said Danzig of Clarks Green.  “They get an opportunity to interact with children, whether it’s through reading a story to them or helping with an art project.  It’s been a pleasure for our players to reach out and help others here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.”
