James Bond as an All American Hero Discussed at Scranton

“James Bond, All-American Hero” is the title of a lecture by Jonathan Nashel, Ph.D., associate professor of history at Indiana University, South Bend, Ind, scheduled for Monday, March 14, at 4:30 p.m. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Pearn Auditorium of Brennan Hall.

At Indiana University, Dr. Nashel teaches courses on 20th century American history, the cold war and American film history. He has published articles on the Vietnam War and the CIA, and has authored a book, “Edward Lansdale’s Cold War,” which was published in 2005 by the University of Massachusetts Press. He is currently writing about the various ways Americans think about the CIA.
