Grigorescu Named Director of Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence at The University of Scranton

            Eugeniu Grigorescu has been named director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) at The University of Scranton. The center encourages and supports student learning, faculty enrichment, instructional design and the pedagogical application of technology at The University of Scranton.


            Grigorescu joined The University of Scranton in 1998 as an instructional technologist in the Office of Instructional Technologies. He joined the CTLE in 2004 as an instructional curriculum designer and became the center’s associate director in 2007. In that role, he analyzed and assisted in the evaluation of the usage and effectiveness of the services delivered by the CTLE and administered the University’s Writing Center program, among other duties. For the past several months, he served as the CTLE’s interim director. 

            A resident of Hanover Township, Grigorescu earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg. He is pursing a doctoral degree at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
