The Princeton Review Lists Scranton Among ‘Best 294 Business Schools’

The Princeton Review touts The University of Scranton’s Jesuit influence for adding “an element of social responsibility” and creating a environment where “students can rely on each other for a sense of camaraderie and support” in its profile naming Scranton’s Kania School of Management among the “Best 294 Business Schools” in the nation. This marks the seventh consecutive year the University has been included among this elite listing of business schools.

The listing is based a school’s academic reputation and interviews of 19,000 MBA students attending the 294 business schools. The 80-question survey asks students to rate their school’s professors, fellow MBA classmates, campus life and other factors.

The guidebook’s two-page profile about Scranton noted the Kania School of Management’s “outstanding professors who take pride in teaching” and bring real-world experience into the classroom, as well as the school’s “excellent learning atmosphere, where everyone is friendly and willing to help.” Also mentioned were the school’s simulated stock trading floor and its accreditation by the rigorous standards of AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Less than five percent of business schools worldwide have earned this distinguished accreditation for excellence in management education.

The guidebook also contains empirical information about the top business schools profiled, including data on admissions, financial aid and average starting salaries of MBA graduates.

The University of Scranton has also been listed in The Princeton Review’s undergraduate guidebook, “The Best 376 Colleges,” for 10 consecutive years.
