Scranton Alumni Club of NEPA Endows Scholarship
The Scranton Alumni Club presented a final check for $13,000 to The University of Scranton to fully endow “The Scranton Alumni Club of Northeastern Pennsylvania Scholarship.” The need-based scholarship for students from northeastern Pennsylvania will be awarded to the first recipient in the fall of 2013.
Under the leadership of Charles Cleveland, the Scranton Alumni Club began to raise funds to endow the scholarship in 2007. The scholarship was supported through various fundraising events organized by the club, including its annual golf tournament, as well as through donations.
