Thirteen ROTC Graduates Commissioned as Second Lieutenants

Twelve members of The University of Scranton’s class of 2015 and one member of Summit University’s class of 2015 were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during a ceremony held at Scranton’s Houlihan-McLean Center. Thirteen ROTC Graduates Commissioned as Second Lieutenants

Twelve members of The University of Scranton’s class of 2015 and one member of Summit University’s 2015 graduating class were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during a ceremony held on Scranton’s campus in May.

The University of Scranton ROTC graduates who were commissioned at the ceremony and the branch of the military in which they will serve are 2nd Lt. Ryan J. Bair of Leola, Chemical Corps; 2nd Lt. Mary E. Beery of Tinton Falls, Corps of Engineers; 2nd Lt. Ryan L. Bisio of Nazareth, Military Intelligence; 2nd Lt. Leonard M. Fernandez of Yonkers, New York, Infantry; 2nd Lt. Graham B. Henderson of Troy, New York, Field Artillery; 2nd Lt. Christel M. Hornstra of Harker Heights, Texas, Medical Service Corps; 2nd Lt. Neil P. Jayakar of Shelton, Connecticut, Army Nurse Corps; 2nd Lt. Alexandra S. Nachtman of Richboro, Medical Service Corps; 2nd Lt. Jacob C. Randazzo of Durham, Connecticut, Ordnance; 2nd Lt. Edward A. Rauch of Clinton, New Jersey, Army Nurse Corps; 2nd Lt. Margaret E. Snare of Fairfax Station, Virginia, Army Nurse Corps; and 2nd Lt. Kelly A. Tracy of Hartsdale, New York, Adjutant General.

In addition to The University of Scranton graduates, also commissioned at the ceremony was Summit University graduate 2nd Lt. Jesse S. Hodges of Harrisburg, Aviation.
