Open House Dates Set for Oct. 25 and Nov. 8 at Scranton

The University of Scranton will host two Open House events for prospective students and their families on Sunday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Nov. 8. Participants can learn about Scranton’s 66 undergraduate majors, meet with faculty, students, admissions counselors and financial aid representatives.

The Jesuit university has been consistently recognized for academic quality and value in national publications and guidebooks such as U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges,” Princeton Review’s “Best 377 Colleges,” Barron’s “Best Buys in College Education,” and’s “America’s Top Colleges,” among others. For ten consecutive years, The Chronicle of Higher Education has also listed Scranton among the “top producers” of Fulbright awards for American students.

Registration and campus tours begin at 9 a.m. Open House includes a complimentary brunch for prospective students and their families.

In addition, representatives of student organizations, athletic teams and the University’s programs of excellence, such as the Honors Program, Faculty-Student Research Program, Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program and Business Leadership Honors Program, will also be available.
