Three University of Scranton Faculty Members Receive Intersession Grants

Three faculty members of The University of Scranton have been awarded development intersession grants for January 2016.

Michael Azar, Ph.D.

Michael Azar, Ph.D., assistant professor of theology and religious studies, received a grant to study “Eastern Orthodox Interpretations of Paul, An International Collaboration.” A faculty member of the University since 2013, Dr. Azar earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Christian University, a master’s degree from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, and a master of philosophy degree and doctorate from Fordham University.

Oliver Morgan, Ph.D.

Oliver Morgan, Ph.D., professor of counseling and human services, received a grant to study “It’s All Connected: Integrating the Many Layers of Addiction.” A faculty member of the University since 1990, Dr. Morgan earned his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, his M.F.T. degree from Hahnemann Medical University, his M.Div. degree from Weston School of Theology, and his doctorate from Boston University.

Susan Poulson, Ph.D.

Susan Poulson, Ph.D., professor of history, received a grant to study “Divorce and Women’s Rights.” A faculty member of the University since 1990, Dr. Poulson earned her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, and her master’s degree and doctorate from Georgetown University.
