Empty Stocking Fund Concert Benefits Area Children

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, in the University’s Houlihan-McLean Center.

Performance Music at The University of Scranton will present their 15th Annual Empty Stocking Fund Benefit Concert, featuring The Scranton Brass Orchestra, on Sunday, Dec. 13. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the University’s Houlihan-McLean Center.

The event is open to the public, and all who attend the concert are asked to bring a new toy or article of children’s clothing, or a monetary donation. The collection will benefit children of local families in need this holiday season, through collaboration with United Neighborhood Center’s Project Hope.

The evening will include performances of a variety of holiday favorites and an audience Christmas caroling sing-along.

The Scranton Brass Orchestra is a fully professional 27-member ensemble, founded in 2011 and comprised of professional brass and percussion players and teachers from the region.
