For the 2017 ranking of just 20 of the “Best Healthcare Administration Master’s Online,” College Choice assessed factors such as reputation, graduation rates, selectivity and faculty resources.

In 2017 rankings published earlier this year, College Choice placed Scranton No. 7 in the nation in its list of the 35 “Best Online Master’s in Accounting;” No. 34 its ranking of the 35 “Best Teaching Master’s” degree programs; No. 23 in its ranking of the 75 “Best Catholic Colleges and Universities;” and No. 50 in its ranking of the 50 “Best Online MBA Programs.”

College Choice is an independent online publication dedicated to helping students and their families find the right college, according to its website.

A description of each college ranked is included on College Choice’s website. In its “Best Healthcare Administration Master’s Online” list, Scranton is noted as a Jesuit institution “dedicated to the highest principles in preparing students for a life of ethical service for the common good.” The description states Scranton’s MHA program “is designed around the American College of Healthcare Executives competency model” for which “graduates are expected to demonstrate 24 core competencies grouped in five critical areas.”

Also noted by College Choice is that Scranton’s fully-online MHA program received “additional accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). This additional accreditation certifies that The University of Scranton’s online program meets the highest standards for academic rigor and professional preparation.”

College Choice previously ranked Scranton in its listing of the “Best Online Master’s in Healthcare Administration,” as well as its 50 “Best Northern Regional Universities” ranking.
