The "Be a Neighbor" podcast of NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania recently hosted the staff of The University of Scranton Community Relations office. Julie Schumacher Cohen, assistant vice president for community engagement and government affairs, and Daysi Carreto, assistant director for community and civic engagement, discussed the work of the office with community partners, including community-based learning activities, collaboration with immigrant and refugee communities, support of downtown businesses and more. They also shared their career and professional backgrounds, highlights from initiatives they have organized and additional ways the office connects the University and the greater Scranton community.
