The University of Scranton to Host Holiday Concerts

Performance Music at The University of Scranton will host two annual holiday events: the 41st Noel Night on Saturday, Dec. 6, and the Empty Stocking Fund Benefit Concert on Thursday, Dec. 9.

On Noel Night, doors will open at 7 p.m., with a prelude beginning at 7:10 p.m. The concert will follow at 8 p.m., and will include performances by The University of Scranton Singers, Chamber Choir and small instrumental ensembles, as well as readings of The Nativity Martyrology and Saint Luke’s Nativity Narrative.

The Empty Stocking concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Dec.9, and will feature an evening of Christmas carols with “Santa” Ron Leas and The Brass Elves.

Both events will take place in the Houlihan-McLean Center, and both are open to the public. There is no admission for Noel Night. In lieu of admission for the Empty Stocking event, on, guests are asked to donate a new toy, new article of children’s clothing, or a monetary contribution to benefit local children’s charities.
