The University of Scranton will conduct a Financial Aid Workshop for prospective students and their parents on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Moscovitz Theater of the DeNaples Center. Financial Aid Workshop Offered at The University of Scranton
The University of Scranton will conduct a Financial Aid Workshop for prospective students and their parents on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the fourth floor Moskovitz Theater of the Patrick and Margaret DeNaples Center on campus.
The workshop, presented by William Burke, director of financial aid at The University of Scranton, will include a line-by-line review of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and details regarding the university’s academic scholarship and need-based assistance programs. Annually, The University of Scranton awards approximately $15 million in institutional aid to close to 1,500 local students.
The program will also include information on federal- and state-aid programs, student and parent loans and alternative financing options. Participants will be shown how to calculate the cost of attendance at The University of Scranton.
Staff from the university’s Admissions Office will be available to answer questions.
In the case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held on Monday, Jan. 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the same location.
