Environmental Science Comes to Life for Area Children

The University of Scranton will host “An Evening of Environmental Science” for area children, teens and their families featuring interactive science experiments and displays presented by University students and faculty and an astronomy observation (weather permitting). The free event will be held Thursday, April 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Loyola Science Center.

The event will also showcase artwork and essays submitted by local elementary, middle and high school students for The University of Scranton and Pennsylvania American Water art and essay contests. Essay award winners will be announced at the event.

The University’s student Sustainability Club is hosting this event.

It is among nearly a dozen events organized by The University of Scranton’s Office of Sustainability in April to celebrate Earth Day.
