Hilton Scranton and Conference Center Named University of Scranton Lead Athletics Sponsor

The Hilton Scranton and Conference Center is the lead sponsor of University of Scranton’s Athletics for the 2015-16 season, which includes the Hilton Scranton Invitational on Nov. 13 and 14 and the Hilton Poinsettia Classic on Dec. 15 and 16. The Hilton Scranton and Conference Center is the lead sponsor of University of Scranton’s Athletics for the 2015-16 season, which includes the Hilton Scranton Invitational on Nov. 13 and 14 and the Hilton Poinsettia Classic on Dec. 15 and 16. The University of Scranton named Hilton Scranton and Conference Center as its lead athletics sponsor for the 2015-16 season, which includes sponsorship of the Hilton Scranton Invitational (men’s basketball) on Nov. 13 and 14 and the Hilton Poinsettia Classic (women’s basketball) on Dec. 15 and 16.

The men’s basketball tournament will begin Friday, Nov. 13, at 5:30 p.m. with Stevens Institute of Technology playing Ursinus College in the John Long Center, followed by The University of Scranton versus Bryn Athyn College at 7:30 p.m. The tournament continues Saturday, Nov. 14, with the third place game at 2 p.m. and the championship game at 4 p.m. 

The women’s basketball tournament will begin Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. with Farmingdale State College playing Eastern University in the John Long Center, followed by the Lady Royals versus Johnson and Wales University at 5 p.m. The tournament continues with games on Wednesday, Dec. 16, with games beginning at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Tickets are available at the University’s Long Center box office on the day of the games. The ticket office opens one hour prior to the earliest game’s tip-off time.
