Event Invites Scranton Community to Learn about Saudi Arabia Culture
Area residents can learn about the history, culture and cuisine of Saudi Arabia at a celebration of Saudi Arabia National Day at The University of Scranton Monday, Nov. 7. The event, which is free of charge and open to the public, will include a sampling of traditional Saudi foods, Saudi music and dance, free Henna tattoos and a Saudi heritage exhibition. Guests will also be able to try on traditional Saudi clothing.
The Saudi National Day celebration, a commemoration of the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932, is sponsored by the Saudi Students Club at Scranton.
The event will be held in the McIlhenny Ballroom of the DeNaples Center from 4 to 7 p.m.
