Screening of 'Mankiller'

    November 1, 2018

"Mankiller" is a recent film about the life of Wilma Mankiller, the Cherokee Nation's first female principal chief. Mankiller was known as an activist, feminist, and social change agent, even beyond her years in office when she continued to lecture on topics such as tribal sovereignty, women's rights, and health care.

Join us on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in DeNaples Moskovitz Theater to watch this film and for a brief discussion afterward in honor of Native American Heritage Month, and to see a poignant example of a strong woman leader.
