Employee Wellness Day for Faculty and Staff
The University of Scranton's Center for Health Education & Wellness (CHEW) will sponsor a Wellness Day event for Faculty and Staff on Tuesday, March 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on campus.
The event will feature more than 25 workshops and health screenings such as “Intro to plant-based eating," “Tai Chi,” “Emotional Intelligence,” "Tips on Pain relief and good work posture through proper Ergonomics” and “Trigger Point Therapy.” Other workshops include “Cardiovascular Health,” “Preventing Financial Identity Theft, “Mindfulness,” “Training your Brain” and “Healthy Eating on a Budget,” among others.
The Keynote speaker Dr. Carrie Demers, M.D. will present on the topic “Integrative Medicine and Self-Care: A Roadmap to Wellness."

The Wellness Day program will also include Mass, lunch from the Fresh Food Company, fitness classes, a wellness fair with information about health-related topics and health screenings from Student Health Services.
