Campus Catch-Up: Honoring Outstanding Class of 2026 Graduates
The University of Scranton's Royal News website has published in recent weeks numerous lists of Class of 2026 graduates who participated in the University's programs of excellence.The dawn of the 2026-27 academic year is just weeks away.
It's not too late, though, to celebrate the year that was, particularly as it relates to The University of Scranton's graduates of distinction in the University's prestigious honors and leadership programs.
Nearly 100 members of the Class of 2026 graduated from one of Scranton's programs of excellence.
Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program
The Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program (SJLA) brings together students with an interdisciplinary curriculum rooted in the Jesuit tradition of intellectual excellence, critical inquiry, leadership and service.
This year, SJLA graduated 34 members.

University Honors Program
The University Honors Program challenges students through rigorous independent scholarship, close faculty mentorship and advanced inquiry that culminates in significant original research or creative work.

The Magis Honors Program in STEM's interdisciplinary research experience fosters scholarly achievement and leadership in the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The Frank P. Corcione Business Honors Program provides high-achieving business students with a four-year experience that combines original research, professional development and leadership formation.

Additionally, 60 students were inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national honor society for students in Jesuit colleges and universities. Juniors, senior and graduate students who have distinguished themselves in loyalty, scholarship and service are eligible for membership into the oldest honor society at Scranton.
