Evening of Prayer, Reflection With Brother Emile of Taizé Oct. 15

An Evening of Prayer and Reflection with Brother Emile of Taizé will take place on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Madonna della Strada Chapel, 415 Monroe Avenue, Scranton. All are invited to join voices in the community's globally recognized form of sung prayer.

Taizé is an ecumenical monastic community in the Burgundy region of France comprised of Catholics, Anglicans and Protestants. The brothers live as a tangible sign of reconciliation between divided Christians and separated peoples.

Each year, tens of thousands of young people from around the world, of various spiritual backgrounds, visit Taizé for weeklong meetings that involve sharing, serving and praying together.

Event sponsors include The University of Scranton Ellacuria Initiative, Jesuit Center, Campus Ministry, Ethics Across Curriculum and Judaic Studies.
