The C-SPAN Campaign 2012 Bus will be at The University of Scranton on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. During the campus stop, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the 45-foot, state-of-the-art mobile production studio and to learn more about C-SPAN’s public affairs programming.

Part of a national tour that began in August 2011, the C-SPAN Campaign Bus seeks to engage and excite voters about the upcoming 2012 presidential election. The bus is equipped with touch-screen computers that access C-SPAN's websites, such as the C-SPAN Classroom and Congressional Chronicle. Visitors can also test their knowledge of public affairs with quizzes and other interactive resources, including C-SPAN podcasts and C-SPAN’s iPhone and Blackberry apps.

Susan Swain ‘76, H ‘99, co-president and co-chief operating officer of C-SPAN, is a graduate of The University of Scranton.

The bus will be stationed in the 300 block of Monroe Ave., near the Weinberg Memorial Library and the McDade Center for Literary and Performing Arts on The University of Scranton campus.
