The Multicultural Center Presents: Day of the Dead

Please join us for our "Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)" 2017 Celebration on Friday, Oct. 27 from 10:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. @ 2nd Floor Fireplace Lounge, DeNaples Center.

We will be featuring music by AJ DJ, skull decorating, face painting, a traditional altar, and traditional food served during this celebration. New this year, we will be also holding a prayer service in collaboration with Campus Ministries.

El Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) Although it is marked throughout Latin America, Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican celebration, is a day to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor of those who have departed. On this day in Mexico, the streets near the cemeteries are filled with decorations of papel picado , flowers, candy calaveras (skeletons and skulls), and parades.

This program is sponsored by the Multicultural Center, Late Night and Campus Ministries! For more information contact the Cross Cultural Centers at multicultural@scranton.edu.
