University Community Celebrates Giving Tuesday

On Dec. 2, more than 500 members of The University of Scranton community celebrated Giving Tuesday 2025 by raising more than $96,000 for campus programs and priorities in a wonderful start to the Christmas season.
"Once again, your generosity has made this year's Giving Tuesday celebration a great success here at The University of Scranton," said Rev. Joseph G. Marina, S.J., University president, in a "Thank You" video message to those who donated. "Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our beloved University."
This year's celebration focused upon two University causes: The Magis Fund, a new fund designed to provide current-year scholarships and financial aid to students to ensure that every Royal can access a Scranton education, and the Scranton Athletics Fund, which helps provide invaluable travel, team-building and leadership development opportunities to the nearly 600 student-athletes at the University.
