13th Annual Fitness Challenge Registration is Open!

    February 7, 2020

Registration for The Center for Health Education & Wellness (CHEW)'s 13th annual Fitness Challenge is now open. Last year, more than 1,000 students, faculty and staff registered for the 4-week challenge and committed to exercise for 150 minutes per week, which is the minimum amount of weekly exercise recommended by the CDC. Starting or maintaining a regular fitness routine may be one of the best things you can do for your overall health and wellbeing. Exercise can reduce your risk of chronic disease, help you lose weight, improve balance, sleep habits and self-esteem. The Fitness Challenge will also feature an optional daily healthy habit challenge, which focuses on overall wellbeing such as stress reduction, nutrition, and social connection.

Participants that complete the challenge earn a dri-fit shirt and are entered into weekly prize raffles. CHEW provides participants with weekly online fitness logs, motivational emails and prizes! Registration is open on the CHEW website until noon on Feb. 14 and the Fitness Challenge begins on Feb. 16. Join us for the Kick-Off Event onFeb. 12 outside of CHEW- TDC 205K to learn more about the challenge, register, sample t-shirt sizes and receive a Fitness Challenge Calendar.
